Frances Quinlan is known as the driving force behind Hop Along and one of the most prominent songwriters with one of the most distinct and inimitable voices in the indie rock space over the past decade. Frances is constantly evolving as both a visual artist and musician, and as many of you know, Hop Along started as a solo project called Hop Along, Queen Ansleis.
We are now thrilled to announce their debut solo album under their own name. Frances Quinlan's 'Likewise' will arrive January 31st, and it is stunning. Pre-order "Likewise" here.
Super pleased to announce our new Album Of The Month; a new feature which spotlights a special record from the SC catalog!
Next up is Big Harp's 2011 LP 'White Hat', which is a beautiful alt-country collection, contains echoes of artists from Townes Van Zandt to Nick Cave, Willie Nelson to Captain Beefheart. Buy LP/CD/digital at a special price via the SC store through the end of October, 2019.
We are launching our new ‘Album of the Month’ feature, which will spotlight one album each month from the SC catalog, extend exclusive offers on these albums, and hopefully help you find a favorite album you just might not have discovered yet. Each featured album will be presented across our social pages with a mixture of archival photos, personal retrospectives from the artists and those they've influenced, playlists, videos, live sessions, and much more.
We’re kick-starting the series today with The Mynabirds’ 2012 LP, GENERALS, a record of “openhearted, politically engaged, feminist pop” (Pitchfork).
