A message from Saddle Creek

Hello friend of Saddle Creek,

We realize these are scary and uncertain times for all of us, and we hope you are all healthy and safe. We have gotten a lot of questions about how you can support artists who are being directly impacted by the current pandemic. One way to support artists is purchasing physical releases. From now thru the end of the month, you can get 15% off your entire order (excluding pre-orders). Use the code SUPPORT when checking out or use THIS LINK to receive the discount. As always, there is free shipping on U.S. orders.

We would also like to point out that Bandcamp will be waiving its share of revenues on purchases made this Friday, March 20th. Saddle Creek will join in passing through 100% of the revenue from digital sales on Bandcamp to our artists. Furthermore, please continue to support your local record stores if you are able to do so. Many will be operating in new and different ways for the foreseeable future in consideration of public safety, so check with them to see how you can best continue supporting their business.

There are a number of organizations that help musicians in times of need, including AFM, Musicares, and Sweet Relief. If you have the means, please consider donating.

We at Saddle Creek understand the power music has to help people through difficult times and we hope that our artists’ work can bring some comfort to you during this time of crisis. We appreciate you more than you probably know and are working our hardest to continue to bring the music we love to you through all of this. Follow our social media channels for daily news on what we have going on and how you can continue to support music makers.

Please take care of yourselves and your fellow humans, and thank you again for all that you do to make what we do possible.

Sincerely,
Saddle Creek

Algernon Cadwallader announce first album in 14 years

August 05, 2025

With Trying Not to Have a Thought, Algernon Cadwallader juggle intrinsic musical connection and shrewd lyrical intention with remarkable poise. The album’s title perfectly captures that dual approach: the effort to resist being mentally bogged down by the bottomless list of daily atrocities, and the band’s decision to let their unspoken connection guide this rejuvenated take on their classic sound. “This is just what comes out of us when these four people get in a room,” Helmis says. And this record is exactly that: an Algernon Cadwallader album that's leisurely, intensely, tremendously their own.
