The Game of Monogamy
Sporting Silly Bandz but not his signature beard, Kasher appeared in surprisingly good spirits for someone who had just written another album full of dire, cynical sentiments about relationships. In The Game of Monogamy, the game is anything but fun; "Monogamy" features mournful violin, while "Cold Love" and "No Fireworks" both lament the loss of sparks in a relationship, with the latter including the refrain "I don't feel anything." Kasher expressed a sad state of limbo on "Surprise, Surprise" ("The time of your life was then, so what now?") and "A Grown Man" ("Don't know what I want / Don't want a kid but can't keep being one").
Kasher has a devoted fan base that hangs on his every tortured word and will clearly follow him wherever his musical whims take him.
