The Game of Monogamy

The video for Tim Kasher's 'Cold Love' has a few wince-worthy switcheroo scenes in which the players get played, but the pranksters are an unlikely pair -- a boyfriend and girlfriend. So why would a happy couple try to punk each other? "The song is about how routine sex can become in relationships," Kasher tells Spinner.

Still, the video takes the theme and runs with it, transforming the song into a comedic video. "The concept began as a short story I shelved about a year ago," Kasher explains. "The video took the story into more of a 'Spy vs. Spy' direction. We blew threw a loaf of bread and a pack of bologna for the sandwich scenes, and I brushed my gums completely raw from the tooth-brushing scenes. I don't know why I didn't just 'act' like I was brushing, each time we re-shot."

At least we know Kasher has pearly whites, and we have the video to prove it. The track comes from the Cursive frontman's first solo album, 'The Game of Monogamy,' which he wrote and recorded in an isolated rental home in Montana last year. The album drops on Oct. 5 via Saddle Creek but you can check out the video below.
