Perhaps you're already familiar with TRAA's particular brand of shonky romanticism? For the uninitiated, they're a Canadian trio inspired by the likes of Neutral Milk Hotel. And yeah, it shows, but only in their knack for raspy melodies and limitlessly lovely lyricism. Opener 'Two Lovers' sets the tone - its plaintive hook drifts gently like leaves on a breeze, while the band channel a sumptuous sense of elegiac elegance underneath. "I'll hold you close under these skies," coos Nils Edenloff on 'Barnes' Yard', and it feels like his arm is already around your shoulder. This is gleeful, irresistible, magical stuff.
