Our week of revolution might be over, but the spirit of uprise is still strong around us. The Mynabirds premiered their latest track yesterday on Rolling Stone, and singer Laura Burhenn channels the frustrations of Occupy in the plaintive song, "Body of Work." Her gospel-tinged vocals rise over handclap syncopation, like the protest songs of Neil Young, but with the upbeat pop hooks of Gotye. But her message is so spot on that you'll be nodding your head in agreement anyway: Freedom is what you do with what's, with what's been done to you. Good thing they're touring the U.S. this summer, and spreading the good word.
