The Good Life, aka Cursive frontman Tim Kasher's excuse to explore the softer, more sensitive side of his melodic muse, are set to release their third full-length, Album of the Year, via Saddle Creek (where else?) on August 10th. This record hotsteps May's Lovers Need Lawyers EP, highlighting a patch of relative prolificness amidst an otherwise sparse studio career. If the hopefully titled Album of the Year is on par with the recent EP, which proved that a mild departure from Kasher's wannabe-Robert Smith stylings are A-OK, the new effort promises to rock just a little harder and cry a little bit less. Tracklist of the year:

Album of the Year
Night and Day
Under a Honeymoon
You're No Fool
Notes in His Pockets
You're Not You
October Leaves
Lovers Need Lawyers
Inmates
Needy
A New Friend
Two Years This Month

Now, considering that Cursive have been touring for the better part of a year and a half, it's kinda hard to figure where Kasher found the time to actually record a fucking album, but it appears that he did. And now it's back to the road-- The Good Life will be touring throughout the remainder of July and the first part of August. The dates:
