Danse Macabre

WOW! That's all I can say. The Faint deserve to be massive.

I know that's quite a bold statement, but listen to this, their third album, and you will be blown away.

Its so different, and so catchy, everyone should own a copy. The 9 track album is very 80's sounding and excellent mixes modern day rock and tales, with fierce dance beats and almost corny synths. And it works perfectly.

Its so 80's it shouldn't be out now, but it wouldn't fit in that era at all and is so refreshing for this day and age.

The lyrics are dark and about murder, but the electronically-enhanced music and vocal melodies make you want to dance; which is weird!

Describing this five-piece band as "Nebraska's answer to Heaven 17" seems perfect.

If I was to sum up The Faint I would try and imagine throwing Human League, New Order, Mansun and Les Rhythmes Digitales into one big mixing pot!! Sounds weird, but hell, it works!

One of the best albums I have heard for a long time. Simple astounding, The Faint deserve to be huge and fill dance floors and bedrooms everywhere!
