Big Harp is the by-product of a three year whirlwind for husband-and-wife duo Chris Senseney (vocals, guitar, keyboards) and Stefanie Drootin-Senseney (bass, backing vocals). In those three years a boy from the western Nebraska cow town of Valentine (pop. 2,800) and a girl born and raised in Los Angeles (pop. 8,000,000)... (more info)

Icky Blossoms bloomed from the blizzards of 2011 in Omaha, NE. Consisting of three multi-dimensional artists, Derek Pressnall, Nik Fackler and Sarah Bohling, Icky Blossoms draw from old friendships, rhythmic experiments and a love for robust melodies to create music stretching from hazy pop to pulsing dance. Music that feels familiar yet so unfamiliar, like the sun heating your face, old haunts, or falling in love. (more info)

"The record is about human relationships. It assumes that people come before "issues." They're an experiment with living outwardly through and by the people in your life. Work, survival, living. Maybe these things are by and through people. WIth limitless possibilities or whatever, what about the arbitrary in your life? Do issues or positions dominate those relationships? Or do relationships forge those issues and positions that people get riled up about? Where does culture and identity construction come in? Because there are A LOT of affordable options." (more info)
DESPERATE GROUND

The Thermals' sixth LP and debut for Saddle Creek, Desperate Ground, was produced by John Agnello (Dinosaur Jr, Sonic Youth) at Water Music in Hoboken, NJ. Agnello and The Thermals completed the record and evacuated the studio just hours before Hurricane Sandy ravaged New Jersey, a fate quite fitting when you consider the product: a true scrappy and scratchy return-to-form for The Thermals, with all the raw power and unhinged adolescent energy that made their early LP's so insanely enjoyable. Lyrically, the album is a brash and irresponsible ode to human violence, a black celebration of the inevitability of war and death. A dark and yet joyous affair, Desperate Ground tells the (murky) tale of a lone rogue in the night. One man, one path, one sword. An unceasing urge to destroy. A never-ending battle against the forces of nature. A destiny impossible to avoid. (more info)

We are UUVVWWZ, an avant-blues quartet from Lincoln Nebraska, comprised of Teal Gardner, Jim Schroeder, Dustin Wilbourn, and David Ozinga. We have been playing as UU for five years and have put out one album previously, a self-titled record that was screech-cronky, clubbier, and babier than our current work, the trusted language.
