Son, Ambulance was seen earlier this year on a split release with Bright Eyes called Oh, Holy Fools. Euphemystic is their first full-length, and a damn good debut it is, While early comparisons to Belle and Sebastian might have been a bit premature (see the Entertainment Weekly review of Oh, Holy fools). there is no denying the quality if of song writing and musicianship on this record. Utilizing a broad assortment of instruments and creating complex structures, each song on Euphemystic takes on a unique personality of its own. All in all, this is a solid first record, and certainly a band to keep an eye on.
