O+S is a project between Orenda Fink (Azure Ray, Art In Manilla, Now It's Overhead) and Scalpelist (Cedric LeMoyne of Remy Zero). Having been friends for years going back to their days in Birmingham, Alabama the two collaborate on one of the most unique discs to come out this year.

Armed with a gentle, haunting voice, Fink layers her delicate singing over synth, acoustic guitars, drum loops, bells and even pianos. The songs are very atmospheric and mellow, but occasionally the tempo speeds up to an almost danceable pace.

This is quite a production as 90% of this was recorded in different states using loops of random sounds from Alabama to Haiti, Scalpelist adding samples over Fink's angelic voice. The disc ships from light to dark moods, as each track unfolds into its own, beaming with radiance and ethereal softness. Somewhere between art/experimental and electronic indie pop, this debut is a landscape of beautiful sounds and carefully constructed gems- amazing, really.
