Now It's Overhead are back with their second full length album and be prepared, it's seriously great. If you're not familiar with NIO, they are a melodic landscape of sounds that pile up layer upon layer of subtle brooding elements that are mellow and infectious. With both of the ladies from the great Azure Ray on board to add their touches, it is easy to see why this dynamic four piece from Athens, Georgia is one of the best things to come around in a long while. Somehow Andy (the brainchild behind NIO) has managed to capture a truly moving tone throughout Fall Back Open by combining electronic beats and sounds with catchy guitar lines and all encompassing vocals that are so fluid you'll think he's an angel. With cameos from Conor Oberst (Bright Eyes) and Michael Stipe (REM) as a nice touch, you'll be absolutely captivated by this beautiful group of songs. Now It's Overhead is a true diamond in the rough.
