Taylor remains best-known as part of the Bright Eyes orbit — though it’s hard to figure out exactly why, given that her half-dozen solo albums (plus another batch with the duo Azure Ray) are as compelling as the work of Bright Eyes ringleader Conor Oberst, if not more so. On her latest Saddle Creek Records disc, “Something About Knowing,” she splits the difference between a sonically adventurous indie aesthetic and classic melodic folk-rock, fashioning pop songs with an immediate impact and potentially broad appeal. PJ Bond opens. 9 p.m. Wednesday. $12. 912 Red River St. — Peter Blackstock
