Cursive is absolutely brilliant. Hands down, Tim can write a better songs than most any person in the indie scene today. His style is brash, irreverant and original in it's simplicity. The guitars are brash and beautiful, the lyrics are insightful and the melodies are intoxicating. On their last two releases Cursive has made use of a cello to open up their sound to a more dynamic and open sound, this addition has brought them away from their indie rock roots.

Eastern Youth is only mildly entertaining, once the novelty of their ethnicity wears off they become slightly obnoxious. However, the four Cursive songs make this album 100% worth whatever money you spend on it.
