Mama, I'm Swollen
The best group to come out of Omaha since Elliott Smith (Sorry, Bright Eyes) has seen numerous lineup changes, departures and reunions, but at the core of it all is a combination of the band's post-hardcore roots, obtuse melodies and creative instrumentation. Always expertly straddling the line between melody and noise, the group has always stood leagues ahead of their screamo peers, bolstered by vocalist/songwriter Tim Kasher's thematic stories of love and redemption. We're still hoping that the cellist they used to rock with live comes back though. With RIG, The Love Language.
