Mama, I'm Swollen

I saw Cursive play their first of two sold-out shows in NYC the other night. What can I say, I am stupidly in love with this band ...and I'm not the only one! I love going to shows where the audience is singing louder than the band. Such was the case on Monday. I also love it when bands still sing songs from their entire roster despite having a new album out. In summary - Cursive is gooood. Very, very good.

Their new album, Mama, I'm Swollen, is pretty solid (read the full D+T review here) and translates well live, but it was classics like "Art is Hard" and "The Martyr" that really made the audience go nutty. It was amazing!

Here are some photos I took at the show along with the set list below. Doesn't it seem like Tim Kasher is looking right at me? I have to admit he's one savvy dude. Click on the photo to enlarge it and stare into those dreamy eyes.
