Cursive's ability to be diverse in their sound and tempo is what is so precious about this record. The singer, Tim Kasher has a magnificent vocal range, strained angry shouting to melodic singing, his voice serenades you and gently lets you down. Even the music is gentle at times and at others fierce and abrasive in a post-hardcore sort of way. I really enjoyed this.
