Letting off the Happiness

At the center of Omaha's Bright Eyes is Conor Oberst whose vocals really sank into my heart on "Padric My Prince" and who is the main man behind the band. Oberst plays with a revolving cast of musicians that includes Lullaby for the Working Class' extraordinary Mike Mogis. Excellent rainy-day pop songs wiht a wide array of instrumental sounds that captures some sort of great, lonely feeling. Other good tracks include "The Difference in the Shades" and "Touch". This is one of those personal records you'll have to find some time to spend with - Bright Eyes seem to understand what time like that is worth.
