Details are slowly emerging of the new Bright Eyes LP which, as it was recently announced, will be called Cassadega and will appear via frontman Conor Oberst's longtime label/creative enclave, Saddle Creek. An April 10 release date has been set and, although a full tracklist has yet to be announced, the lead single, "Four Winds," has, and is set to hit airwaves in early March. (An EP by the same name that features the single will hit shelves March 6.) Can't wait that long for a preview? "Endless Entertainment," a song from the album's sessions, is currently available for streaming at Bright Eyes' brand new—and currently under construction—homepage, www.thisisbrighteyes.com. Guests lending a hand on Cassadega, which was recorded in New York City, Los Angeles, Lincoln and Portland, include M. Ward, Gillian Welch and ex-Sleater-Kinney drummer Janet Weiss (now one of Stephen Malkmus' Jicks), as well as Oberst's trusty sidekick/multi-instrumentalist/studio wizard, Mike Mogis.
