Husband and wife duo Chris Senseney and Stefanie Drootin-Senseney, aka Big Harp, make such sweet and lovely sounds that tender a mellow end to a rough day. Those fluttering dulcet tones are a heart lifter and a salve for a weary mind.

Chris and Stef have a combined height of 7' 2". Stef runs a rock camp for girls in Omaha, NE. Chris once lost a wrestling match with a Pomeranian, but only barely. Stef once survived for a month on bread and free packets of relish from gas stations.

And here's their take on...

The LP Questionnaire
Names: Chris Senseney, Stefanie Drootin-Senseney
Do you have any nicknames? Chris: Chris. Stef: Smooth Jazz.

1. Pretend you're 15. Name three songs you'd put on a mix tape for your girlfriend/boyfriend.
Chris: I was fifteen in 1997, and I'm pretty sure all my girlfriends were imaginary. Had I had one I would have put have put anything she wanted on a mixtape. But as long as we're being hypothetically fifteen in the mid-nineties, I'll go with More Human than Human (White Zombie), I'll Be Your Mirror (Velvet Underground) and That's All Right (the Marty Robbins version, not the Elvis).

Stef: It's 1994. La La Love You (Pixies), Rend It (Fugazi), Summertime (Crimpshrine).

2. Which evil villain would make the best President?
Chris: Satan. Hopefully he'd be rendered powerless by a do-nothing congress.

Stef: Ted Dibiase, The Million Dollar Man. He bought his way to the top of the World Wrestling Federation, so becoming president should be easy.

3. What was your favorite cartoon as a child?
Chris: Masters of the Universe.

Stef: I used to watch Cartoon Express religiously when I was younger, and Jabberjaw was my favorite -- I took up the bass hoping I could one day find my own great white shark drummer to lock in with.

4. What superpower do you wish you had? Chris: Mind control. Stef: Flying.

5. What would the title of your autobiography be? Stef: Where's My Phone!? Chris: Look In Your Purse

Pick Three (as done by Stef)
I just saw Ume open for my friends Cursive, and they were awesome!

M. Ward is a good friend and it would be great to get to see him.

Icky Blossoms and The Mynabirds, who we're playing with at the Saddle Creek Showcase -- we've been friends with them for ages, but we've never seen either of them play.

You can get in on the Big Harp good times Friday, March 16 at Lamberts at 8pm.

Thanks for joining us on this fine Tuesday. I shall return after Radiohead melts my face off with a Pick Three from Matt Jordan. More coming this week from Torche, Ume, Twilight Sad, Star & Dagger and more. As always, you can read all the everything right here.
