You open the door and four friends are sitting on a couch in the middle of a conversation. The topics shift elegantly but rapidly from secretaries to electronic wolves to vertical cougars to crotches splayed open like coin purses. Three of their voices are interesting and overhearing the three of them communicate with each other makes you want to move with the music. But the lead singer, for the duration of the conversation, screams at the other three with utter disregard for the mood or tone of the talking. After only a few minutes of this guy's screaming you look around and check again to make sure you're in the Saddle Creek house. You wonder how you seemed to find yourself in the lamest room at the entire party. It's disappointing-Saddle Creek parties are usually so good.
